The time is here again, Barcamp KL will be organized on 4th - 5th of April 2009 at Inti College, Subang. For those who didn't know what is BarCamp, it is a a user-organized conference that creates a platform to share, learn and network. You can read the history why BarCamp exist at Wikipedia .

Welcome to the all new Zenpipe.com web hosting

As a humble beginning, this is the first post for Zenpipe.com blog. We create this blog to share our progress and update for our hosting division at AIST. Zenpipe.com was started as a side project that provides our web design / web programming clients for hosting platforms. The first server was created using international hosting provider and transfered to Malaysia 4U rack hosting and now to our own 42U rack. As we're not a big hosting company so we don't target the "all you can eat" hosting package. My first expectation was, hosting business is easy, just rent a server, add users and we are in business (maybe 'get-rich-fast' idea comes in mind after that ;) , but my expectation was wrong. Hosting is a tough business, many competitors, threats from hackers, customer supports, worm attacks, hard disk crash, chasing invoices, buying servers and all the problems you could expect in every business. The domain Zenpipe.com was registered on 10 of August 2005 and now we are reaching 3 1/2 years old. I've learned a few tricks and know what is take to be the best hosting provider wouldn't be easy.

Okay, that's all a little bit history of Zenpipe.com. Now, let's see what are the updates in Zenpipe.com:
  • Update the Zenpipe.com website 
  • Add online chat support to the website.
  • Creating support and billing channel http://my.zenpipe.com
  • Creating a blog for communications.
  • Twitter page for updates, in case our website goes down http://twitter.com/zenpipe (yes, our servers do go down)

What you can expect from our hosting

  • Focus on customer experience.
  • Not a "me too" hosting provider (we don't offers 100 of packages for you to choose from)
  • We don't think a 300GB shared hosting is logical (no overselling).
  • Do not get big too fast.
